Night 28 - Mataranka

This place is so lovely we decided to stay another night and do pretty much exactly what we did the day before. Its so rediculously hot! They tell us its unseasonally warm for this time of year.

Went back to the Bitter Springs, this time with the video camera and we shot some really great footage of the kids swimming. The water is so crystal clear and warm. We hired some noodles for $1 and floated down the stream. Here are some more shots:

Here is one of the caravan park residents.....we also saw wallaby's jumping around.

This is the reason all of the telegraph poles are made from steel...

Later that night when the sun went down the cane toad busters went on duty.

Not sure how many they got but there were definitely more than last night. This is something they will talk about for a long time yet!

Next stop Katherine then on to Darwin to catch up with Craigs mum and dad. Our neighbours last night were telling us that Darwin was so awfully hot they couldnt wait to get outta there. Great!
